Since the establishment of ION Deutschland GmbH in 1990 and Aquabion GmbH in 2003, we have concentrated on environmentally friendly water treatment solutions that do not require chemical additives. ION Deutschland GmbH and Aquabion GmbH, founded and managed by Marc A. Flettner, have grown into a successful family business thanks to innovative products, outstanding manufacturing quality, and a service-oriented organization. More than 300,000 ION water purification systems have been installed worldwide.  1912 - 1960 1912 - 1960 Anton Flettner, an engineer and inventor who was close friends with Albert Einstein, registered over 1,000 patents. Many of them were groundbreaking and sustainable, such as the Flettner rotor and rudder. Oliver Flettner, Marc A. Flettner's son, carries on the family's scientific heritage for another generation.
